Walton Lane Nursery School was one of the first maintained nursery schools to be inspected under the new Ofsted framework for schools.

At Walton Lane Nursery School and Rocking Horse Club we are thoroughly committed to helping children to feel happy and secure; be good communicators who are motivated to learn; are enthusiastic, resilient, independent, confident and thinkers; to be respectful and to have great foundations on which to build their future primary school experiences.  It was wonderful to see that in Ofsted’s description of what it is like to be a child at Walton Lane Nursery School that we are succeeding in all of this and that “children are well prepared to be modern British citizens”. 

It is also heartening to read that Ofsted recognised the extensive support and care we provide to all children and families, including those with special educational needs or who may experience some disadvantage, to become successful learners.
